September 19th, 9:30am:
The Little Black Dress – Bill Graham, owner of
"Beautiful Things" in Salem, MA, will entertain us with a
presentation on floral designs and fashion trends. Bill will
introduce us to eight major changes to the black dress which will take
it from business to black tie, and a floral design for each of the eight
major changes. The Garden House

Behind the Scenes of the NE Flower Show –
Robin Murphy and Bobbie Lingard will take us behind the scenes at the
New England Spring Flower Show during set-up week. This
fascinating presentation will illustrate the magic of creating massive
gardens and exciting floral designs from the ground up. The Garden House*

Holiday Decorating from Topiaries to Swags –
The very entertaining Paul Split will demonstrate how to make our own
holiday wreath, buffet and table arrangement with candles and
evergreens, along with roping, topiary and swags. The Garden House*

Holiday Luncheon – A holiday tradition
since 1980. After a busy fall season, come, relax and enjoy lunch
with your fellow Club members. A short meeting precedes the

Latest Trends in Floral Arranging– Our own Sarah Boynton and Ellen
Garrow will introduce us to some of the latest floral design trends and
demonstrate how we can create them for our homes. Learn the
secrets of conditioning flowers as well as tricks for hiding the
mechanics used in many of today's exciting floral designs. HPL, Whiton Room*

Going Green – In this
energizing session, Rita Wollmering will introduce us to using herbs
creatively - exploring the myriad areas where we can be more "green" in
our every day life. Rita will focus on ways to be more
environmentally friendly in your gardening, cooking and cleaning. HPL, Whiton Room*
March 19th, 9:30am
Floral Arranging for the Home – Floral Designer Shirley Minott
will focus on "real life" flower arranging. She will start with
some quick and easy arrangements and work up to more detailed designs.
Her presentation will include tips on picking and conditioning plant
material, mechanics, containers and other components of working with

April 9th, 9:30am
Know Your Dirt - Cindy Prentice, fabulous landscape designer,
will help us get ready for the growing season by teaching us about
compost and dirt. Most designers will agree that soil preparation
is one of the keys to success, and even the most experienced gardener
might learn something new while we talk dirt! The Garden House
